2007 TelPay New Music Festival.

Details on the Sunday evening show (with sound clips to sample) ...

Music from where we live, sung with original voices. Maryem Tollar sings Hatzis's Ah Kalleli, based on a Sufi song. Winnipeg Singers perform Patrick Carrabré's Promised Land, with words from early Hudson Bay explorers, the Bible and the sounds of nature. Prairie Voices warms things up with a couple of Guido Lopez-Gavilan's choral rumbas, and Camerata Nova performs Andrew Balfour's Wa Wa Tey Wak (Northern Lights) - with video. Jennifer Higdon's O Magnum Mysterium rounds out the evening's program.
