a diesel sx4

(Doug, you just skip over this one, k --- Robert)

On a recent Motoring 2009, Graeme gave us a quick impression of a not yet available diesel Suzuki SX4. He filed a story here. Not only with AWD, this SX4 would boast great fuel economy.
Where this thing differs from just about every other car on the road, including many hybrids, is the economy the little 1.6-litre, four-cylinder, common-rail turbocharged diesel delivers. A week-long test returned an average diesel consumption rate of just 5.8 litres per 100 kilometres. This works out to a cost of $6.55 for every 100 km driven. I can't remember the last time it cost so little to top off a tank before returning any car. The entire week and 600 km cost less than $40!
Sounds like a great package. But like I say not yet available.
